HAYDOCK... not on your P Lever?
I think you dropped a few stitches there, it was tailor made for Haydock. The racers are usually in the car park by 1.30pm and the rugby matches could be tailor made to suit with two entrances on the East Lancs Road and two in Lodge Lane or Ashton Road. There would be no problems and loads of jobs for Yickers and proper jobs at that, plus facilities for the youngsters of Haydock.
Your perfect pitch for a rugby stadium has a few hitches with it. Parking being the main one, with a casino and a large food hall as well as the stadium. Do you think the roads around there can cope on a normal day, never mind the wet days we have just had?
I notice that P Lever doesn't mind the town having the only hospital we've got being in another borough on things that could be life threatening, yet doesn't want the stadium within 500 yards of someone else.
And Saints... they will still be the best team if it was Salisbury Plain!
