SQUADS of police officers recovered drugs believed to be heroin and crack cocaine as further strikes were made to strangle the borough's drug market.
Thirty officers involved in storming the properties recovered heroin and crack with a street value of £2,000 in Haydock. A small quantity of what are believed to be ecstasy tablets were found in Marshalls Cross.
A 25-year-old woman and 24-year-old man from Marshalls Cross, a 38-year-old man from Newton-le-Willows and a 49-year-old Haydock woman were all questioned on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs and have since been bailed.
Inspector Peter Mallett said: "We responded quickly and effectively to concerns raised by the public regarding drug related activity in the borough and information from the public has been vital in making this operation a success.
