THE North West Counties Amateur Rugby League season kicks off this weekend under a new title.
The league has obtained a four-figure sponsorship from Widnes-based Mark Norris Building Services, and will now be known as the Mark Norris Building Services NW Counties League.
A lack of referees means that only three divisions will be able to start on Saturday and it's uncertain how many referees will be available for the following week.
Fixtures, Saturday, August 28
Premier Division: Haydock v Halton Simms Cross, Halton Farnworth v Bold Miners.
Division One: Portico Vine v Pilkingtons.
Division Two: Haresfinch v Wigan St Judes A.
