THE Theatre Royal's new season returns like a bat out of hell with The Meat Loaf Story, a rock and rollercoaster ride through the incredible life of one of the world's best known rock stars.

Steve Steinman takes the lead role for his fourteenth year as Meatloaf and has been described as totally awesome, with the voice and look of the great man himself. Born in Manchester, Steve has become one of the best known look and soundalikes to Meat Loaf.

Having put together his first Meat Loaf show at cabaret venues across the country, in 1993 Steve got his chance to perform on the hit TV show 'Stars in their Eyes'. After the success of the television show, Steve took his act on the road touring all over the world.

In 1995 Steve appeared on Channel 4's Big Breakfast along side the real Meat Loaf, giving him the chance to ask the real thing what he thought of the show- Meat Loaf replied "great man!"

'The Meat Loaf Story', playing at the Theatre Royal for one night only on 3 September, chronicles the life of the world famous rock star, who over the past thirty years has worked with some of the greatest singers and producers of all time.

Not only does the show deliver all your favourite Meat Loaf hits including 'Bat out of hell', and 'Dead ringer for love', but also songs from Bonnie Tyler, Cher, Celine Dion and Elvis, plus music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jim Steinman. Not forgetting the hit musical 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' in which Meat Loaf starred in, back in 1975.

With an incredible stage set, video projected scenes and a great band, The Meat Loaf Story will have audiences rocking in the aisles.
