AFTER a summer of recuperation, The Citadel's doors will re-open on 3 September with a new season of music, drama and comedy.
New acts this autumn include Jah Wobble, While and Matthews and Frances Black, covering all aspects of the musical spectrum, while old favourites Family Mahone and The Dylan Project help smooth off the season with their December shows.
Other unmissable acts include Wishbone Ash, Colcannon, Hogan's Heroes and Albert Leigh, Tom Hingley and The Lovers, as well as the return of The Clone Roses.
For younger audiences, there is Frenzy for 11-16 year olds, along with an array of children's theatre including Arabel's Raven from Nuffield Theatre group. Even young children have the chance to come down and watch a show this season, with the delightful 'A-Tishoo', a physical and performance theatre show created specifically for the under 6s.
To top the season off is 'Katy Crackernuts', a Christmas pantomime adapted from a traditional Scottish folk tale by Hollyoaks writer Darren Fairhurst. For further information on upcoming shows at The Citadel or to book tickets, telephone the box office on 01744 735436.
