WE'LL see you in hell... the chilling words of two cowardly bullies during a terror attack on a seven-year-old boy which left him with two breaks to his wrist.

Lewis Burgess had been cycling in Recreation Park, near Boundary Road, when two youths, described as in their early to mid teens, knocked him off his bike causing a large graze on his head.

His mum Joanne said the two thugs pushed slightly-builtLewis towards a fast-flowing brook. As he desperately clung to the railings, the pair started flicking lighted matches at him and yelled "we'll see you in hell".

Joanne suspects that it was during his frantic struggle to stay out of the water that he broke his wrist in two places. She added: "There is a steep drop at the side of the brook and if he'd lost consciousness, he could have

drowned. It just reminded me of some of the other horrific crimes to young children you hear about," she said.

Joanne said Lewis was eventually brought home in a distressed condition by a neighbour.

And his angry mum added: "Lewis has told me he would recognise them again.

"I can't understand why they did it. They didn't even take anything."

The shocked youngster described his attackers as both wearing black blazers

Police said that when they interview Lewis about his traumatic experience, it would be by video, owing to his age
