THERE was a deluge of goals to mark the second Saturday of the new season with Windle Labour Club being on the receiving end of 14 of those at Appleton Arms.
There was also a seven goal thriller at Penlake, the home side grabbing a late winner. Penlake's Paul Duggan claimed a brace, assisted by strikes from Jamie Foster and Danny Ogier.
There were six goals in another Frontrunner Premier Division clash - as Beeches and Whiston squared up.
But honours were even as neither side could force a winner. Vulcan remain unbeaten just shading their match with fellow promoted Moorfield by the odd goal in 3.
In their First Division clash RJM and Blackbrook provided another seven goals - with Brook running out victors consolidating their fine start to the new campaign.
