THERE were fun and games when St Helens Council hosted a 'piggy party' to promote the serious issue of family learning.
Families from across the Borough joined in the event at the Central Library, Victoria Square, St Helens.
Jimbo the Clown was one of several special guests providing magic and fun. Youngsters were invited to bring a 'piggy' toy along (or teddy) and refreshments will be provided.
The event was organised by the Council's Families Learning Together initiative which aims to raise awareness of the need for parents and carers to be involved in learning initiatives to boost educational attainment.
