PENSIONER parachutist Ken Taylor (right) reckons he might take a break from skydiving next year.... and have a stab at wingwalking instead.

SuperKen (75) has just taken to the skies again and in his latest plunge has floated to £3,000 with money still rolling in for Marie Curie Cancer Care.Ken who recently moved to Blackbrook after living in Parr for 20 years notched up his seventh skydive in glorious sunshine and as a result the daredevil pensioner has now raised more than £15,000 for different charities.

Stephen Tongue from Marie Curie Cancer Care said: "Ken is an absolutely remarkable man. I am amazed at what he has achieved.

"Ken has had a very difficult 12 months as he lost his wife last November, has been mugged and burgled on numerous occasions (as reported on the front page of the St Helens Star back in June) and has had to move house as well. None of these things have dented his determination and it is no wonder he has earned the title 'Super-Ken.'

"Ken himself is very modest about his achievements. He doesn't let a small thing like his age stop him from his daredevil stunts and he has not let any of the problems of the last year get in his way."

Ken, said: "I just keep going. I love that feeling as you drop from 10,000 feet and the view on the Friday when I did the jump was amazing. There is nothing like it - I did my first jump when I was 70 and I've not looked back since."

When asked about packing up his parachute for good, Ken said: " I might give the fundraising a break next year and decorate the house instead," but added he is making enquiries about wing walking now!

Stephen is looking for more people to follow in Ken's skysteps."
