SAFER Night St Helens, which will promote St Helens as a safe place to visit in the evening, is being launched on Friday 1 October.
The Safer Nights initiative is part of a major campaign to reduce anti-social behaviour and includes the launch of a new night bus service and the ban on alcohol in open spaces in the town centre.
As part of the campaign, outreach workers will be present in the town centre once a month handing out advice and information to the town's night-time visitors.
