For this season only, all Challenge Cup games shall be played over two legs, except the Cup Final.

If scores are level after both legs have been played extra time shall be played. If the scores are still level then a penalty shoot out shall decide the winner.

Each player shall have played in at least one St Helens JOL game for his current club in the current season to be eligible to play in the preliminary and/or first round of the cup.
