FORMER St Helens teacher Margaret Murphy, who is now a successful crime writer, returned to the town to give a talk at Central Library.
The author, who used to teach at the former St Anselm's School, has written four novels to date.
Her talk was entitled 'The police inspector, the crook, the mortuary technician and the writer' and the evening was one of a series of literary activities organised by library staff. Margaret (second left) is pictured meeting library users.
