LITTLE Jasmine Beedles' dream of spending her first ever Christmas at home was cruelly shattered when she collapsed on Christmas Eve and had to be rushed back into hospital.
Now it looks like her devoted parents' last hope of a Christmas at home with their daughter, have been dashed.
This is now Jasmine's third Christmas in hospital, and doctors have warned Samantha and Ben Beedles that it could be her last.
Jasmine suffers from the rare genetic defect DiGeorge syndrome, which has left her with a series of medical complaints.
She has spent much of her short life in hospital and her brave battle has touched Star readers.
Doctors had allowed her home to Sutton Manor this Christmas after telling Samantha and Ben that there was little more they could do for her. The couple were told that as she grows, her heart will eventually fail.
An extra special day was organised to help celebrate her first Christmas at home. But these plans evaporated when the two-year-old was taken ill and spent Christmas Day in intensive care on a ventilator. Samantha said: "She is picking up a little bit now, but she is getting a bit weaker each time she gets sick."
Despite the setback, Jasmine continues to astound her mum and dad and staff at Alder Hey with her remarkable courage.
