THE award winning visitor centre at The World of Glass has an impressive array of exhibitions and events lined up for 2005.
You can still catch 'Living Proof', work by two artists Dorothy Pickering and Jean Crocker, on display until 9 January.
Dorothy and Jean are both members of Cheshire Artists Network (CAN) and are also on the steering committee. They have worked together with the community and carried out many different workshops using mixed media, printmaking, clay, papermaking and fabric techniques.
Local artist Karen Adamson presents her exhibition 'In The Distance' from 11 January- 20 February, featuring images in mixed media and fine art that explores how we live our lives and how we interact with people around us.
On 25 January, 'Spinning Comfort', an illustrated lecture by Adrian Morgan of Knauf Insulation, will explore the complexities of glass wool insulation and how glass products can keep us warm.
St Helens Camera Club showcase the best of local talent in their annual exhibition from 28 February- 28 March. This amateur group creates visual impact with a view on life through the lens, using images in colour and black and white.
Six final year BA Architectural students from the North Wales School of Art and Design in Wrexham will display their work from 5 April- 2 May, exploring a wide range of sources including textiles, patterns and landscapes to produce these intriguing works of art.
And following on from the hugely successful 'Posh and Becks' exhibition in 2004, students at St Helens College will come together once again to showcase two consecutive exhibitions.
The Department of Learner Support, Community Education and the Art Department all contribute to the double showcase of work, entitled 'Two for the price of one'.
