FOLLOWING on from the phenomenal success of his 'Overnight Success Tour', Dave Spikey, star of Channel 4's seminal comedy 'Phoenix Nights', returns to the Theatre Royal on 6 April, with his new live show 'Living The Dream'.

The new nationwide tour follows hot on the heels of Dave's new comedy mystery 'Dead Man Weds', which launched on ITV this week.

Written by Dave, the six-part drama centres around weekly newspaper 'The Fogburrow Advertiser and News', and looks at the larger-than-life personalities battling one another in the newsroom as they stumble across the biggest story of their careers.

In Dave's first solo writing project and his only major television appearance since playing the inimitable Jerry St Clair in Phoenix Nights, he plays new editor Gordon Garden, arriving to replace the previous editor who died in a mystery explosion.

Johnny Vegas also stars as deputy Lewis Donat, a slothful, gone-to-seed creature of habit, who believes the editor's job should have been his.

The next instalment of 'Dead Man Weds', screened on Wednesday 12 January at 10.30pm, sees Gordon's night disturbed by strange howling coming from the moors.

He's determined to get to the bottom of the noises and decides it's time Lewis became a proper investigative journalist...

Vegas was recently voted the 'funniest man in the world' in a poll by Esquire Magazine and can be seen in cinemas this year starring alongside Johnny Depp in 'The Libertine'.

Dave Spikey has won two British Comedy Awards and scooped 'Performance of the Year' at the M.E.N. Theatre Awards and 'Best Comedy Performance' at the Leicester Mercury Awards.

His first live DVD, filmed on the Overnight Success Tour, was awarded a Gold Retail Performance Award within weeks of hitting the shelves and a follow up is planned during the 'Living The Dream Tour'.

A first class writer and superb storyteller, don't miss the chance to see Dave Spikey live in this hotly anticipated new stand-up show.
