THE St Helens Combination management, players and supporters have been saddened by the 'passing away' of Vice President Mr Ronnie Rhind. Ronnie, whose long illness had resulted in his being under 24 hour care, had moved to Rookery Drive, Rainford where his sister cared for him.

He was very well respected for his long association, both as a player and official of the well renown Parr Amateurs FC, and a Combination Management Official, and his familiar figure will be sorely missed around the Parr Stocks P/F area.

He passed away on December 28 and the funeral took place last Wednesday, January 5 at St Helens Crematorium.

Last Saturday, just a single game in which goals by Graham Billinge and Paul Rigby gave Shoe a 2-0 away win over at Rainford North End in the Star Premiership, saved a complete washout for the Combination.

This next Saturday, the important game of the day will be the Liverpool CFA Intermediate Cup Fifth Round tie at Haydock, where Old Congs will play host to Old Bootleians of the Liverpool Old Boys League.
