STOLEN cars with an estimated combined total of £150,000 have been recovered from Newton-le-Willows following police raids.
Officers executed a search warrant at 'commercial premises' on Bleasdale Road, where they found cars ranging from a Mercedes, a Volkswagen Golf, a Passat and an Audi A4.
The cars had been stolen from across Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Staffordshire between August and December last year.
It is thought crooks have been stripping the cars down for parts. Police also recovered 60 aluminium beer barrels from the premises.
Anyone with information about where cars are being stored or dismantled can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
