A SEA of smiling faces greeted the return of missing mascot 'Moggy Mouse' to Legh Vale Primary School in Haydock, following a special Star appeal to readers.
The delighted youngsters were finally reunited with Moggy after the teddy was returned at the Kwik Save store where he had 'wandered off' in early December.
Diane Holcroft of Legh Vale, said: "The children were devastated when Moggy went missing. They take him everywhere they go and he's been a fixture in this classroom for about 3 years now."
As well as bringing fun into the classroom, the teddy is also used to encourage the children to develop their independent writing by recording their adventures in Moggy's diary.
