BROOK second team had to pull out all the stops against a robust Rhinos outfit.
After a hard-fought opening half-hour the visitors led 4-0, courtesy of two penalty goals by Chris Springford.
Two tries just before the break though put Brook in control.
Firstly stand-off Andy Shaw scored a fine solo effort directly from a scrum.
Then a Shaw break was finished off by winger Ant Halsall.
With Springford adding both conversions Brook led 16-0 at the interval.
Solid
The second half saw Rhinos camped in the Brook half but solid defence kept them at bay and their only points came from a converted try by their big prop-forward.
Brook then made the game safe with tries by full-back Ady Kerfoot, after good work by prop Ian Buckley, and Graeme Cox. Loose-forward Ian Williams added a conversion.
The Santime Quarries man-of-the-match for Brook went to Williams, with John Hale, Lee Brown, Chris Tyrer, Roger Steele and Shaw all in good form.
