A LATE penalty - followed by an extra time drop goal denied Brook another Red Rose treble in Wigan on Sunday.
But Brook's under 18s loss Rylands in the BARLA Lancashire Cup Final failed to put a complete dampener on the day, with the under 12s and 14s recording superb victories.
The under 12s got the day off to a great start with a 14-6 victory over host club Ince Rose Bridge.
The Brook lads commanded the first half and Mike Jackman and Andrew Morris scored unconverted tries for an 8-0 half time lead.
Morris added a second try, converted by Tom Huntingdon and although Rose Bridge fought back, Royals emerged comfortable winners.
Strong running forward Joe Bate took the man of the match award.
It was a similar story in the Under 14s final where Royals defeated their big rivals Orrell St James by 14-4.
Man of the match Tom Colborn and Owen Livesey got first half tries before Orrell hit back.
However Paul Wharton went under the posts and Barry Walsh converted to seal matters.
Unfortunately the Under 18s could not make it a double treble as they surprisingly slipped to an extra time defeat at the hands of a fired-up Rylands outfit.
James Walker had an early score disallowed before Rylands scored a fine try.
Walker then scored following a good ball from Chris Donnelly and a Greg Hale penalty put Brook into a 6-4 half time lead which despite not playing well, they held until two minutes from time when the referee awarded Rylands a penalty under the posts.
Rylands dropped a goal early in extra time and Brook failed to threaten their line during the rest of the game.
The DPS Builders Brook man of the match was Ben Howard with Ste Marsh, Daz Forshaw and Martyn Bradshaw in contention.
