MONDAY nights at Zoo Bar soar to a new height on 31 January, with the launch of the venue's new band night and a performance from 'The Golden Eagles'.

The Warrington based tribute to The Eagles, are the first of many such bands to transform Monday nights at the bar on Westfield Street. Fans will be treated to hits including 'Hotel California', 'Lyin Eyes', 'Desperado', 'Take it easy', 'One of these nights' and 'Life in the fast lane'.

Forthcoming events not to miss out on include the excellent 'Coldshot' on Monday 7 February, a tribute to blues icon Stevie Ray Vaughan, and on 21 February is 'So Satriani', a great tribute to the one and only guitar legend Joe Satriani.

Back by popular demand on Monday 28 February is Rory Gallagher tribute Sinner Boy who always go down a storm, and don't miss 'Dizzy Lizzy' on Monday 7 March.

Paul Griffiths, manager of Zoo Bar, said, "The Golden Eagles are the UK's most authentic Eagles tribute band and they manage to accurately recreate the superb West Coast harmonies and dazzling instrumental work.

"All of the bands featured on a Monday have been picked to play here because of their accuracy and energy.

"But tribute bands are not the only live acts we will be enjoying and the bar will still have local bands such as the fabulous 'Clearcut' on 14 February, who play 80s material such as UB40 and Madness. The 'Amazing Paul Kappa' will also be back again due to huge demand."

Admission for most of these popular live bands will be £3 and the music starts at around 9pm. For more information please telephone the Zoo Bar on 01744 733399.
