A COLLEGE principal says his teachers have no intention of resting on their laurels, despite receiving an impressive Ofsted report.
Inspectors highlighted a range of effective measures at Rainford High Technology College, saying that the vast majority of students have very positive attitudes and are willing to work hard.
They said that parents are delighted with the quality of education and care in the school and how its reputation has improved over the last few years.
Since the last inspection, the school has made excellent progress, with an improved range of extra curricular activities.
Principal Marc Morris said he was delighted that the school's strengths had been recognised.
He said: "It is a reflection of the three-way partnership between the school, the student and the home."
However Mr Morris was keen to improve on other areas highlighted in the report. He added: "Ofsted has identified that we have the commitment and capacity to improve further.
"The inspection confirmed our own self evaluation of areas to be developed. These include accommodation, citizenship, challenging students to be more involved in school organisation and involving parents more effectively."
