RAWHIDE Comedy Club celebrate their tenth anniversary with a special show featuring ten headline acts on Monday 7 February.

The confirmed line-up at Central Hall, Renshaw Street, Liverpool will be Phil Nichol, Reginald D Hunter, Junior Simpson, R David, John Bishop, Steve Gribbin, Chris Cairns, Brendan Riley, Keith Carter and Geoff Boyz. All of the acts are delighted to be a part of the celebrations and the fact that half of them are travelling up from London for a ten minute slot is proof of Rawhide's standing on the comedy circuit.

Kevin Fearon of Rawhide said, "In 1995 Rawhide just seemed like a good idea for entertaining the people of Liverpool. Other promoters had shied away from doing comedy because they thought that the audiences might be quicker than the comedians! We have grown from a monthly show for 70 or 80 people in the early days to 800 people a weekend now. The thing that makes me happiest is that I know that some of the people in those crowds in '95 are still coming now.

We've seen people like Peter Kay and Johnny Vegas rise from unpaid ten-minute slots to being genuine comedy stars and the great thing is that you can see comics now that will be stars in five years time. Here's to another decade of making people laugh- the 20th birthday will be even better!"

Tickets for the show are £15 with all profits going to 'Stand Out', the course that teaches stand-up comedy to 14-18 year olds throughout the North West. For more information telephone the Rawhide box office on 0870 787 1866.
