A THUG armed with a knife stole cash from a general store.
The robber, who was wearing a balaclava, entered the store on Weedon Avenue, Newton-le-Willows on Sunday, January 22 at around 6.35pm and demanded cash. He threatened staff and a customer with what is believed to be a kitchen knife before leaving with a small quantity of cash. He then headed on foot towards Belvedere Road.
The robber is described as being 6ft tall and of medium build. He was wearing a balaclava and a blue three-quarter length anorak.
