LOUISE Glover has ditched glamorous dresses and catwalk shows, well just for the moment at least, to lace up a pair of running shoes, as she gets ready to run in this years London Marathon.
The 21-year-old St Helens model, now based in London, is teaming up with pal Sarah Dononhue, from Manchester, to raise money for Cancer Research.
Sarah, 32, a powerboat champion and former stuntwoman, appeared in the James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies alongside Pierce Brosnan.
No stranger to charity work, Louise regularly travels overseas on behalf of Raleigh International, where she gets involved in community projects, from planting trees to teaching English.
Louise explained they both chose Cancer Research, as their charity after losing loved ones to the disease. And reckons she can cope with the tough training regime they have set themselves.
"Even though it can be hard, you have to think of the end result and why we are doing this," she said. "I have relied on charity, when I was growing up and I know how important it is."
They are looking to raise around £5,000 and complete the course within four hours.
