Golborne Parkside 23
A BELOW-strength Crusaders second string struggled to come to grips with a well-drilled Golborne outfit.
The visitors took an early lead with two tries by left winger Timmins but the home team hit back on the half-hour mark when big centre Dave Anders powered making the half-time score 4-8.
Within minutes of the restart substitute Chris Miller grabbed Parkside's third touchdown with Andy Simms converting.
On 55 minutes Heath crossed for their second when a fine move down the right involving stand-off Dave Hill and full-back John Pumford ended with flying wingman Andy Houghton going in at the corner.
Parkside edged further ahead with a one-pointer by scrum-half Stuart Arkwright.
Heath hit back and were soon deep in Parkside territory but squandered valuable possession needlessly.
Then Parkside worked their way steadily up-field and a good move on the last resulted in right winger Matty Williams diving over at the corner. Simms converted.
Heath got the final try of the game when great work down the right again saw Houghton supporting a strong break by Anders to take a fine inside ball to touch down.
Simms finished the scoring for Parkside with a penalty on full time.
Dave Hill took the man-of-the-match award for Heath with Anders, Lloyd and Donoghue all in contention.
