I AM writing regarding the letter 'All credit to our police' (Dear Star, February 3).I have no confidence in the police, none at all. It said in the letter that the police attended St Helens Cemetery in ten minutes.
I called the police in December last year because my son had been assaulted. I had to wait 48 hours for the police to attend.
Then again I had to phone the police in January this year for being harassed by the same man who assaulted my 15-year-old son. That time I had to wait 69 hours.
The night in December I telephoned them, they were more concerned about a young lad about 14-15-years-old doing something to a car. It makes me really angry. What's more important a life or a car, or a building being damaged?
The police always tell you they prioritise incidents. Well my son and my family must not be a priority. Cars and buildings must be. I have also sent complaints to the head of police.
