Approaching the ground, rugby fans find that the 'disabled entrance' is a roughly cobbled and uneven path. Quaint, but totally unsuitable for wheelchair users.
Once inside the outer perimeter, wheelchair users are then sent to the far end of the ground to collect pre-purchased tickets. Once tickets are collected, wheelchair users are then sent back round the perimeter to the cobbled wheelchair entrance, and have to navigate past thousands of able-bodied fans in the process.
The Knowsley Road ground dates back a good many years, as does the attitude to long-suffering disabled supporters.
