TEENAGERS who shoot around an estate on petrol-powered mini-motorbikes are risking their lives or serious injury.

That's the message from a worried resident in Sutton who reckons the mini-motorbikes are the latest craze among youngsters.

He said: "They are driving up and down on the road at night dodging cars. It will only be a matter of time before one of them is knocked off or seriously injured

"I don't want it on my conscience if I back out of my drive and hit one them, and I doubt whether they are insured if they damage a car."

It is claimed teenagers take turns on the bikes in Ridgewood Drive, despite not having driving licences.

They also allegedly ride the bikes without wearing helmets and do not have number plates. The concerned neighbour, who asked not be named, added that many parents are probably unaware of the way the bikes are being used.
