A MAN has been remanded in custody after appearing before magistrates accused of murdering his parents.
Robert Mills, 31, faces two charges of murder after the bodies of his father Edward Mills, 64, and mother Margaret, 62, were found in their home at Driveway, Whiston.
He appeared before Knowsley Magistrates on Tuesday and was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court, in March.
Police discovered the bodies of Mr And Mrs Mills on Sunday evening, February 20, after receiving a phone call.
Police confirmed the family's pet dog was also found dead.
The house was cordoned off this week as forensic teams gathered evidence. Mr and Mrs Mills have been described as a "lovely couple" by neighbours.
