A FAMILY bar is retaining its reputation as one of the borough's premium wine businesses with a festive fayre.

Launched by sisters Rochelle Garbutt and Danielle Milnes in 2018, 'The Wine Club' has become one of the most popular venues in Rainhill's network of independent businesses.

Sharing the family's passion for wine, the Wine Club offers a huge selection of wines from around the world and aims to become a national supplier within the wine industry.

With the Wine Club also offering a selection of small plates, artisan pizzas, charcuterie boards, cocktails, and wine-tasting events to entice more customers into the Dane Court venue, the business' popular 'Wine Fayre' event will return next week.

With tickets on sale for £20, there will be multiple suppliers on hand to expand customer's palates with "unlimited tastings".

As the festive fayre has become one of the team's favourite events of the year, it is described as "an evening of casual laid back wine tasting and education".

"There is a really great community in Rainhill and Dane Court is absolutely bustling at times. This has allowed us to open the second shop to offer a selection of cheese, charcuterie boards, and artisan pizzas.

"We have wines imported from all over the world so people love coming in, trying our selection, and buying them as gifts, so our aim now is to grow the website and start to supply our wines nationwide."

“And we are hoping to expand online in the new year with a wine club subscription service and online shop, as our monthly wine tasting events continue to sell out fast.”
