THERE was a closure on the M62 from Rainhill Stoops after a crash this morning, Sunday.
The M62 was closed westbound from junction seven to junction six. This is following a collision.
The closure has caused traffic delays this morning.
Emergency services atteended the scene of the crash.
In a statement at shortly after 9.20am this morning, National Highways said: "The M62 remains closed west between J7 (Rainhill) and J6 (M57) due to a collision.
"Emergency services continue to work at scene. There are delays of approx. 10 minutes with 2 miles of congestion."

Live traffic tracker INRIX stated as of 9.30am: "M62 Westbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident from J7 A57 Warrington Road (Rainhill Stoops) to J6 M57 J1 (Tarbock Island)."
The closure has since been lifted.
