A FAMILY-RUN café has enjoyed a “positive” reception after launching new premises at an industrial estate.

Malone’s café, a family-run establishment, run by its small team of four staff enjoyed its opening earlier this month.

The venue, located at the former Rosehill Diner at Bold Industrial Estate, has undergone a wholesale transformation on the inside and outside.

The family previously ran Malone’s café in Earlestown for six years before it closed its doors in February 2021.

Following this, the owners set up new mobile food truck business, Fat Mal’s which hit the road to take the café to everyone else.

Now the Malones have decided to “go back to bricks and mortar” and have launched the new Malone’s café at Bold Industrial Estate.

As well as chairs and tables, the premises features soft furnishings and armchair seating.

“If you want to drink or have a full breakfast, there are both sides of the coin,” said Francesca Malone, 31.

“It is not a café that you would expect, it’ isn’t a 'greasy spoon'.

“It is a place you can meet friends, have good quality food and coffee and sit in an environment that takes you away from that nine-to-five.”

The venue held its opening in November and has been welcomed with open arms by the Bold community.

Francesca added: “People have come in with flowers and well wishes and people from the industrial estate itself.

“All the comments have been so positive.”

Malone’s Café is open Mondays to Fridays from 7.30am to 2pm, and Saturdays from 8.30am to 1pm.
