A BURTONWOOD man is among six to have been charged and named by police following a series of dawn raids.
Yesterday morning, Wednesday, officers from Cheshire Police executed a series of simultaneous warrants in Warrington.
The raids were connected to an investigation into the supply of illegal drugs and firearms offences.
Six men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs, namely cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis, as well as firearms offences.
In an update today, Thursday, Cheshire Police has confirmed that six people have now been charged.
All six have been remanded in custody and are set to appear before Chester Magistrates’ Court later today.
The following men have been charged:
- Nathan Simpson, aged 32 and of Birtles Road, Orford – charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, two counts of conspiracy to supply class B drugs, conspiracy to possess a firearm and ammunition, conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, conspiracy to possess a firearm and associated ammunition with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so, possession of cannabis and possession of criminal property.
- John Lally, aged 33 and of Fairclough Street, Burtonwood – charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, conspiracy to supply class B drugs, conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of cannabis, possession of criminal property and handling stolen goods.
- Dominic Bourdet, aged 40 and of Thelwall Lane, Latchford – charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply class B drugs, possession of cannabis and possession of criminal property.
- Nathan Davies, aged 33 and of Hume Street, Fairfield – charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply class B drugs, conspiracy to possess a firearm and ammunition, possession of a firearm and associated ammunition without a certificate, conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, possession of cannabis and possession of criminal property.
- Steven Dodd, aged 33 and of Watkin Street, Orford – charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, conspiracy to supply class B drugs and possession of cannabis.
- Daniel Roberts, aged 33 and of Sandfield Crescent, Glazebury – charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, conspiracy to supply class B drugs and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
