A care provider has celebrated a decade of helping people remain in their own homes.
Bluebird Care St Helens opened its doors in 2014, offering care that prevents the need for residential care.
To mark the 10-year milestone, the team hosted a community tea party to say thank you for the support they have received.
The event was attended by the Bluebird Care St Helens team, their customers and families, and other local residents.
Representatives from the Loving Arms Dementia Café, where Bluebird Care staff volunteer, also joined the celebration.
Jan Walsh founded Bluebird Care St Helens in 2014 after identifying a need for at-home premium care in the area.
The organisation, which started with a small team of care assistants, has grown to serve hundreds of customers.
The management team, who all began their careers as care assistants, still oversee the operation.
Many staff members have been part of the organisation since the beginning, adding a personal touch to the anniversary celebrations.
This milestone was not just a celebration of the present but also an opportunity to look back on the company's journey and honour the customers they have served.
In their 10 years, Bluebird Care St Helens has built a strong reputation, earning a 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission.
Reflecting on the journey, Jan Walsh, founder of Bluebird Care St Helens, said: "We love making a positive difference to other people’s lives, so to be here celebrating our 10th anniversary is very special.
"It’s all down to the great team that we’ve got here and the collaboration across the community, including with the local council and the NHS.
"To us, the quality of the service we provide to our community is always our number one priority, and enabling more individuals with complex needs to remain safely at home rather than in a residential setting."
She added: "We’ve spent the last 10 years building a fantastic reputation locally, but that hasn’t been without its challenges.
"We’re eager to see what the next decade holds for Bluebird Care St Helens."
This commitment to quality care and community collaboration remains at the heart of Bluebird Care St Helens as they look forward to the next decade.
