AN APPLICATION has been made seeking permission to use a property as a children's home has been given the green light.
The proposals have been sent to St Helens Council planners in September for a house on Sandhurst Road, Rainhill.
The applicant sought permission for a change of use of the property to a children's home and a single-storey rear extension.
In the plans, a Noise Officer expressed no objection to the proposals.

In a report recommending approval of the application, planning officer Alex Ball said: "Whilst a level of ‘domestic’ noise may be generated because of the change of use, it is not considered that this level of noise would be unduly different to that associated with the current use of the property.
"It has also been considered that the number of people present at any one time could increase, with other additional care assistants attending the property and visits from family members and other healthcare professionals; however, these impacts would be limited and short term, and as such are acceptable in this context".
Permission for the change of use was granted.
