PLANS have been submitted to expand a nursery by converting residential space on the first floor of its building.
Proposals have been drawn up for Daydreams Nursery, on Prescot Road.
A design and access statement in the plans sent to St Helens Council, says: "The site is currently a daycare facility on the ground floor and residential on the first and second floors.
"The proposed use on the ground floor will remain relatively unchanged with the first floor being converted into extra daycare accommodation facilities along with children's W.Cs, kitchen and sensory room.
"The second floor will be retained for storage."

Plans add the changes will allow for an increase to a capacity of 76 children and "generate additional local jobs for a minimum of four members of staff".
An application form says the number of employees will increase from 11 to 15 under the plans.
Plans parking spaces at the site will increase from seven to 12.
A decision is expected on the plans by Thursday, January 9, 2025.
