A PLANNING application has been submitted seeking permission to convert the first floor of a restaurant premises into three flats.
Proposals have been sent to St Helens Council planners for the first floor of 59 Duke Street.
The property is the location of the Palace Balti and Tandoori restaurant.

Floorplans in the application state that the ground floor would remain for restaurant use.
The Palace is a popular Indian restaurant in the town centre.
A decision on the plans, submitted by Abdul Salam, is expected to be made by council planners by Monday, December 23.
