MOTORISTS are warned of long delays on the M6 this morning.
It follows emergency repairs on the motorway southbound from junction 21 at Woolston to Junction 20 at Lymm.
The incident is causing traffic backlogs stretching to Haydock.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix stated this morning: "Long delays and one lane closed due to emergency repairs on M6 Southbound from J21 A57 Manchester Road (Woolston) to J20 M56 J9 (Lymm Interchange). Congestion to J23 (Haydock)."
