St Helens' motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M62, from 9pm September 16 to 5am December 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 both directions J7 to J6 - lane closure for drainage.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A580, from 9pm November 18 to 6am November 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 northbound and southbound, J21a to J26 - Lane closure for Construction improvement/Upgrade on behalf of Costain.
• M62, from 8pm November 20 to 5am November 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 8 to junction 9 - lane closure for inspection/survey.
• A580, from 9pm November 22 to 5am November 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 northbound, J21A to J22 - lane closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.
• M62, from 8pm November 29 to 5am November 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 7 entry slip road closure due to works for St Helens Council.
