POLICE have confirmed that the death of a man at Sutton Mill Dam is not being treated as suspicious.
Officers were called on Saturday, November 16 at 7.25am to reports that the man had been found at the dam off Mill Brow in Sutton Leach.
He was confirmed dead at the scene, police said.
Several police vehicles and a fire engine were on the Mill Brow entrance to the site on Saturday, with cordons closing all entrances to the dam.
Inquiries have been carried out to trace the man’s next of kin.

Police said on Saturday that the death was being treated as "unexplained" but added there were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
When asked for an update this morning, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "The death is confirmed as non-suspicious and a report will be prepared for coroner."
