TWO teenagers have avoided being sent to custody after they were convicted over an attack in Prescot.
Two 17-year-old boys appeared before Merseyside Youth Court on Tuesday, November 12 where they were sentenced.
The defendants, one from Huyton, and one from Prescot, who cannot be named due to automatic reporting restrictions because of their ages, had been convicted of wounding with intent after pleading guilty.
The attack on a male victim happened on October 17, 2023.
Before district judge Clarke, the boys were referred to a youth offender panel for 12 months.

A compensation payment of £500 was ordered for each defendant and a two-year restraining order for them not to contact the victim was imposed.
The boy from Huyton's parents or guardians also must pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £200 and a surcharge of £26, with £200 in costs ordered for the defendant from Prescot.
Court records said the "intensive referral order" was imposed as a "direct alternative to custody".
