A COUNCILLOR has appeared in court charged with permitting the use of a vehicle without a licence or insurance.
Kate Stevenson-Black, an independent councillor for Rainhill ward, appeared before Wirral Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 13.
She pleaded guilty to charges of permitting the use of a motor vehicle with no insurance and permitting the driving of a vehicle without a licence.

According to court records, Stevenson-Black had permitted a man to use a red Vauxhall car on February 11 this year on Mill Lane, Rainhill, without him having a licence or insurance for the vehicle.
Cllr Stevenson-Black, who also sits on Rainhill Parish Council for Rainhill South Ward, was fined £120, made to pay a £48 surcharge, and £110 in court costs, making a total of £278.
She was also given six points on her driving licence.
