Young entrepreneurs and performers are being sought for Earlestown's first Teenage Market.
This new opportunity aims to give young business owners and creatives a platform to showcase their talents.
The initial event will be a Christmas market, running on December 15 from 11am to 4pm.
The market will give young traders a chance to sell their products and shoppers the opportunity to pick up festive treats.
Organisers are keen to hear from young stallholders interested in taking up a space at the event.
They are also looking for young creatives who wish to display their talents and add vibrancy to the market with live performances.
Lisa Harris, the executive director for place services at St Helens Borough Council, said: "If you’re a young person with an entrepreneurial spirit and a business idea, then our new Teenage Market is the perfect opportunity to branch out and reach a new audience.
"We’re also keen to give young performers a stage to show their talents too.
"We hope that this first event is the beginning of a long-lasting partnership that will provide help for those young people with big ideas and support the growth of creative enterprises."
The market is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
