A historic business has been given a prestigious award.
John Mason International Movers was presented with the King's Award for Enterprise 2024 in Liverpool on November 7.
The business, which specialises in international trade, was recognised for its 'outstanding contribution to customer service and operational excellence'.
The ceremony took place at the Royal Liver Building on the waterfront, where the Deputy Lieutenant read the 'Grant of Appointment.'
Personal representative of the King, Lord-Lieutenant Blundell, then presented the crystal to executive director Simon Hood, who is from St Helens.
The King's Award for Enterprise is the highest accolade a UK business can receive, celebrating an organisation's continual innovation and success across various sectors.
Both HRH the Princess Royal and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh sent personal letters congratulating Simon Hood and the team at John Mason on their achievement.
Simon Hood said: "Receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise is a testament to the dedication of our entire team, who put customer care at the heart of everything we do.
"This award isn't just for the company, but for every individual who has helped make John Mason International the trusted name it is today."
Operating since 1884, John Mason International has grown from a family coal delivery business in Merseyside to the UK’s leading international moving company.
The company provides more than 10,000 people each year with relocations across the globe.
The John Mason International family had to overcome a number of challenges from post-Brexit customs regulations to the pressures of homeworking during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their expertise and innovation post-pandemic rewarded them with a 'record year' in 2022, cementing the business as the largest and fastest growing removals company in the UK.
Ian Studd, director general of the British Association of Removers, who attended the celebration, said: "This award underscores John Mason’s ongoing innovation and dedication, which has ensured the company’s success not just in the UK, but on a global scale.
"It’s an honour to celebrate such an incredible achievement with a business that places family values and customer satisfaction at the forefront."
