A WARRINGTON bus driver has admitted dangerous driving following an incident involving a young cyclist.
William Brennan appeared before Liverpool Magistrates’ Court to face three motoring charges committed in Newton-le-Willows.
The 75-year-old, of Grasmere Avenue in Orford, pleaded guilty to driving a red double-decker Volvo bus dangerously.
This was on Acorn Street and Wargrave Road in Newton-le-Willows on April 18 this year.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to stop after a road accident in which personal injury was caused, which court documents state was "shock following the collision".

Another charge Brennan admitted was failing to report the accident by not having given his name and address and not telling the police within 24 hours.
His solicitor, Jed Howard, said that it had been a ‘very short-lived incident’, and that fortunately no physical injuries were caused.
“This is a man of hitherto good character, and he is still employed,” he said.
Magistrates agreed that a pre-sentence report should be prepared, and Brennan was remanded on unconditional bail to await sentence on December 2.
He is also the subject of an interim disqualification before appearing back before the court on this date.
