A THIRTY-YEAR-OLD woman has appeared in court charged with possession of an XL Bully-type dog.
Kayleigh Taylor-Ashton appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 28.
Taylor-Ashton, of Eccleston Street, St Helens, appeared before magistrates where she pleaded guilty to possessing or having custody of a fighting dog, contrary to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.

According to a court sheet, the particulars of the charge are that on August 9, 2024, in St Helens Taylor-Ashton had in her possession or custody a dog to which section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 applied, namely an XL Bully type dog called Flump.
The defendant was granted unconditional bail and is due to next appear before the court on December 10.
