A SUSPECT who was arrested after police found drugs in a food delivery bag as they stopped a car has been released under investigation.
Officers on patrol in the Prescot area on Saturday, November 2 spotted a suspected drug deal taking place on Queens Road after a man approached the driver of a car and items were exchanged.
After speaking with both men, officers discovered four snap bags of cannabis hidden inside a food delivery bag, which was being kept in the boot of the car.
A warrant was subsequently carried out at an address in West Derby, Liverpool, linked to the man and further snap bags of both Class B and Class A drugs were found, along with scales and quantities of cash.

A 29-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug (cocaine) and Class B drug (ketamine), and of supplying a controlled Class B drug (cannabis).
He has since been released under investigation.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "If you have any information about drug dealing in your area, you can call 101 or DM @MerPolCC or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
"Always call 999 if a crime is in progress."
