A MAN suffered a hand injury after a car crash in Earlestown this morning.
Residents in Newton reported that there had been a crash along Common Road, around St Patrick's Church, this morning (Monday, October 28).
With the emergency services called to the incident, police have confirmed that a a man suffered a minor hand injury in a collision that involved two vehicles.
Temporary road closures and diversions were reported to have been in place while police dealt with the incident, and two vehicles were later removed.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We received a report of a collision involving two vehicles on Common Road, in Newton-le-Willows, at around 9.45am this morning, Monday, October 28.
"Emergency services attended the scene and both vehicles have been removed. A man sustained a minor hand injury.
"If you witnessed the collision or have any information, you can call 101 or DM @MerPolCC quoting log number 228 of 28th October."
