PROPOSALS to carry out work to a Grade II listed building have been given the green light.
Planning permission, as well as listed building consent, for a single-storey rear extension, single-storey first floor rear extension along with internal alterations and external alterations to openings and the existing porch at Parr House, Crank Hill, have been granted subject to conditions.
Planning statement
In the heritage and planning statement, it says the proposed additions will create a master suite and additional bathroom at first floor level by “removing a second snug area which isn’t utilised”, maintaining the living room at first floor level and “revising” the ground floor layout to make the living area “more suitable for family living”.
It added: “The scheme has been designed to match the external materials which will ensure that the listed character of the building is maintained. The previous has been built in materials to match the existing.
“There will be no changes to the parking provision or access to the property, and the curtilage of the development will be appropriate in size.
“All listed characteristics of the building will remain untouched and in their original condition.”
